Our longcase clocks are made from finest English walnut and Honduran mahogany using curl and burr panels, longcase clocks were very prominent in the eighteenth century, this was typically because homes in those days were a lot larger and elegance was of the utmost importance.
The stringing is made from brass, you can also have a glass door with bevel designs can be attached to the front instead of a solid wooden door, this shows off the pendulum in all of its beauty.
We have been producing long case clocks for many years now and we design and build them all by hand so whatever wood or design you would like on the clock we can usually accomodate.
The clocks movements last for eight days, they can be set up to chime on the hour eery hour, the choice of the whittington chimes or even the westminster chimes can be chosen for the eight striking bells which go off every quarter of an hour.
The moon phase design of the long case has a hand painted dial which can have the painting of any kind of land and ocean that you want.
