Skeleton Clocks

The Skeleton clocks created here at Sinclair Harding are made through months of hard work, all plates are hand cut from solid brass and then put through a painstaking process before being finally mounted onto the finished product. Every wheel and all of the levers are hand crafted by master craftsmen and the final version of the skeleton clock that you receive can truly be seen as a work of art.

The power source used for the motion of the clock is motive and can last for eight days, the power comes from springs that have a constant torque on the wheels. The anchor uses a half second pendulum so that time keeping is kept constant.

We use carbon steel for the pallet and the faces are polished with diamonds so the finish will last for a lifetime. The hammer set can be adjusted to play a choice of two different chimes, which will strike once every sixty minutes. All parts of the mechanism are designed to be of the highest standard and are meticulous throughout.

Our designers use only the finest white marble all the way sicily to make the sturdy base on which the clocks must rest and this in turn supports the plinth that we have hand crafted from mahogany that comes from the forests of Honduras. There is a shade made from glass and has brass trimmings that protects the dust from tiny particles in the air which in time could do damage to the overall mechanism of the clocks.
