Celebrating Robert Bray’s 30th Anniversary

This year marks 30 years since Robert (Bob) Bray took the helm at Sinclair Harding. Over the past three decades, much has evolved — yet our commitment to excellence remains constant.

From the outset, Bob’s vision was clear: to bring every stage of production in-house, preserving traditional craftsmanship while embracing modern technology. That vision has long been realised. Today, our skilled team continues to refine each process within our workshop, creating some of the world’s finest clocks.

We are also proud to announce Bob’s appointment as President of the British Horological Institute — a testament to his dedication and contribution to the art of horology.

Sinclair Harding Bray Watch – perfect in an imperfect way

Your watch, your way.

For many years, we were asked the same question:
“Are you ever going to make a watch?”

And for just as long, our answer was the same:
“No — the parts are far too small for our eyes.”

In 2025, that changed.

Since late 2024, we have been quietly developing our own timepiece, built around the revered ETA 6498 movement. The result is a watch that reflects our approach to craftsmanship — considered, precise, and deliberately understated — bringing Sinclair Harding’s horological heritage to the wrist for the first time.

- Rosemary Clock

"Thought you might like to know! It’s more than twenty years now and I love it as much as ever."

- Longcase Clock

"It was such a pleasure to meet you all! Thank you for welcoming me into your clock shop and for the wonderful tour. It was a truly memorable experience—one I’ll always hold dear and include as part of the story behind our clock."

– Moonphase Sea Clock

"I’m happy to share that the clock arrived yesterday. We unboxed it successfully, and we absolutely love it — it’s truly gorgeous. Our kids are fascinated by it, and we’re all so pleased with the craftsmanship. I especially want to highlight how thrilled we are with the engraving on the back. I had a feeling it would be spectacular, but it exceeded all expectations. We’ve placed the clock in the center of the room so we can admire the back as well, and the engraving is stunning. I also love how our names are woven seamlessly into the ivy. Our children haven’t discovered the hidden names yet — we’re saving that reveal for the right moment."

- Moonphase Sea Clock

– Workshop Tour

"Just a few words to thank you so much for the Three Train Skeleton clock, it is simply ‘Magnifique’ and I find its chime of an extraordinary and very rare quality. One of my favourite pieces of all my collection. It became a part of our family since it struck its first quarter!"
